This bike belongs to a friend of mine who is an ultra-distance cyclist (also known as a randonneur, or the feminized version randonneuse.) She is Italian and really appreciates having a bike that is handmade in her homeland. She even owns a second road bike which is a pretty snazzy carbon Cervello but that one is the “around town thrasher” bike. The Colnago is the serious ride.. used well and cherished. I wanted to reflect that jewel-like quality in my depiction of this cycle.
