Inspired Stripmall

This piece got its name from the phrase seen on the metal windmill sculpture which is planted at the corner. As it happened, inspiration took more than one shot. My first version wasn’t working for me, so I left it for a while and focused on other work. Then I returned and re-sorted all the elements before finally creating what you see here.

I saw all these little stories to tell. There is the scene in front of Auto Zone with the people trying to fix their cars. The woman, talking on her cellphone while waiting to get keys made. The man looking at the window of the defunct YogoTango yogurt shop. And, of course, the foot traffic on the sidewalk going past.
