This place is so freekin vintage they use it to shoot period movies. Then the rest of the time the valet guys use it as a lot to park cars. Located right across the intersection from the Alsco building, this place has a similarly cold energy. Yet unlike the textile outfit, this building lacks any blood in its veins. It ‘s just this oddly beautiful and desiccated hull of what once was… and a parking lot.

I was lucky enough to catch the group of cyclists riding past on a beautiful day and it just meshed in my viewfinder. Looking at the piece, I feel I’m able to flash forward to a future where the gas stations are all out of business and the streets are ruled by roving gangs of bike riders. All the cars are parked away and the streets are finally safe and free…
