On the same day that I photographed Mike’s One Dollar thrift shop, I saw George’s Place right down the block on H Street. I happened to catch them as they were closing up shop for the night. Seeing the opportunity to show the shop in transition, I took it. The age of the place and the “Latest Fashions” they were offering just felt so sleepy and the idea of closing the place up for the night just fit in nicely.
